Melinda Finger
Medicaid Specialist Paralegal
Melinda is a Medicaid Specialist Paralegal and works in our Gastonia and Hickory offices. Her mission is to help individuals who are elderly or diagnosed with disabilities and their families respond to the challenges of aging, long-term illness and disability.
She is assisting Heritage Law in launching our Life Care Planning Program, which promotes and maintains good health, safety, well-being, and quality of life of seniors and their families. In addition to legal services, care coordination and advocacy support, Melinda organizes, prioritizes, and mobilizes every aspect of a senior’s care to allow the individual to maintain quality of life in the setting that is desired.
Melinda has many years of experience working closely with individuals in the community seeking Medicaid services. Prior to Heritage Law, she served as a supervisor for several different Medicaid programs at the Lincoln County Department of Social Services, including the role she was most passionate about – supervisor of the Long-Term Care Unit. She loves keeping up with the State and Federal Regulations and collaborating with the communities to ensure that all individuals are aware of all benefits and services available with the State and Federal government. She is an advocate and continuously engages in local events to get the best outcomes for her clients.
When Melinda is not assisting the public, she loves spending time with her husband camping and riding her motorcycle (aka the “Road Queen”) with her son and husband.
